Focus and Scope
Biology and Medicine is a peer-reviewed journal publishing original, relevant and high quality research papers and reviews in most of the modern disciplines and subdisciplines of biology and medicine. The journal recognizes the multidisciplinary nature of biology and medicine, and includes research articles and reviews from most of the specialities involved in biology and medicine research, with a focus on, but not restricted to, cellular and molecular biology, disease research, developmental biology, clinical trials, toxicology and pharmacology, genetics, epidemiology, bioethics, biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology and agriculture.

Publication Frequency
This is an entirely online journal publishing rapidly but still maintaining a high quality of research articles & reviews. The articles will be uploaded to the 'Manuscripts Online' section in the prepublication phase, as soon as the review by an international panel of experts is completed and the manuscript is approved, and the authors do not have to wait for annoyingly long time to see their high quality research work online. The decision on acceptance/rejection will be within 1 month for research articles.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
