Scope
Biology and Medicine is a peer-reviewed journal publishing original, relevant and high quality research
manuscripts in most of the modern disciplines and sub-disciplines of biology and medicine. The journal
recognizes the multidisciplinary nature of biology and medicine, and includes research articles, review
articles and case reports, with a focus on cellular and molecular biology, disease research (humans and
animals), developmental biology, toxicology, pharmacology, genetics, epidemiology, bioethics,
biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, agriculture, etc.
Publication of Articles
This is an entirely online journal publishing rapidly but still maintaining a high quality of manuscripts. The
manuscripts will be published after single-blind peer-review by an international panel of experts is
completed and the manuscript is approved, provided the authors pay the necessary Article Processing
Charge after receiving the invoice. The decision on acceptance or rejection (depending upon referee
comments) will usually be taken within 1 month for research articles.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely
available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with
all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these

1. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
2. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
3. The references in the text are also found in the References list at the end and vice-versa.

By submitting a manuscript to the journal authors are deemed to have granted permission to publish the
manuscript. Copyright is transferred to Biology and Medicine as soon as the article is accepted for
publication. Authors are required to sign the Copyright Transfer Statement which is sent to them after
acceptance of article.
